May 16th, 2020 Flight Status

As a result of the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID19), the Honor Flight Kentucky Board of Directors is today announcing the postponement of the May 16, 2020 flight to Washington, D.C. While disappointing, this decision is being made from an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our veterans and in coordination with Honor Flight National (HFN) and our many honor flight partners. Honor Flight Kentucky will provide periodic updates on the rescheduling of the May flight.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT:

Our nation is losing more than 1,500 World War II veterans and more than 500 Korean War veterans each and every day.  Our goal is to get as many of these brave heroes from Central, Eastern, and Southern Kentucky to see their memorials before they pass away.  More than 500 veterans are on our waiting list for flights next year. Our focus on every component is for the safety and comfort of the participants, and we orient each aspect to create a memorable once-in-a-lifetime experience.
